0. Upgrade notice

   Version 3.5.1 or later version requires Multi-Language support DLLs. 
   You must copy the HRRES16.DLL(for Delphi 1) or HRRES32.DLL(for Delphi2, 3, 4, 5 and 6)
   in LANG directory to the WINDOWS directory before installation of HyperReport.

   If you want to use HyperReport 3.6.1 or later with TeeChart, 
   you need to use TeeChart 4.01. You can get it at http://www.teemach.com.


1. Directory Structure

    Unzip the program with -d option

    Lib10 .... Hyper Report for Delphi 1.0
    Lib20 .... Hyper Report for Delphi 2.0
    Lib30..... Hyper Report for Delphi 3.0
    Lib40..... Hyper Report for Delphi 4.0
    Lib50..... Hyper Report for Delphi 5.0
    Lib60..... Hyper Report for Delphi 6.0

2. Installation

2.1 Delphi 1

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Options|Install Components]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Install Components' and [Browse] in the
            'Add Module'

            Designate the directory LIB10 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Unit file(*.DCU)' type of the file type.

            Select HRepReg.DCU file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Install Components' .
            (it will take a few minutes)

       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5) Copy BOM data to 'DELPHI\DEMOS\DATA'.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi.
          Copy HRPEng.HLP to the 'Delphi\BIN' directory.
          Copy HRPEng.KWF to the 'Delphi\Help' directory.

       2) And execute HELPINST.EXE in the'Delphi\Help' directory.

       3) Select DELPHI.HDX file in the 'DELPHI\BIN' directory to make File|Open.
          (You MUST select the file in the BIN)

       4) Select the directory 'DELPHI\HELP' to make Option|Search paths....

       5) Select HRPEng.KWF in the 'DELPHI\HELP' directory to make Keyword|Add
           Keyword file...

       6) Selecting File|Save adds a keyword of Hyper Report to Delphi.
          (it will take a few minutes to save)

       Again, restart Delphi.
       At this moment, you can not find HRport.HLP in HyperReport Component when you press [F1]
       The question 'Do you want to find the file by yourself?' may occur in the
       screen. Then, click [YES] and select HRPEng.HLP in the 'DELPHI\HELP'
       directory. Once selected, the question is not occurred any more from the moment.


2.2 Delphi 2

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Component  Install....]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Install Components' and [Browse] in the
            'Add Module'

            Designate the directory LIB20 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Unit file(*.DCU)' type of the file type.

            Select HRepReg.DCU file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Install Components' .
            (it will take a few minutes)

       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5) Copy BOM data to 'DELPHI\DEMOS\DATA'.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPEng.HLP, HRPEng.CNT and
          HRPEng.KWF to the 'Delphi\Help' directory.

       2) And execute HELPINST.EXE in the'Delphi\Help\Tools' directory.

       3) Select DELPHI.HDX file in the 'DELPHI\BIN' directory to make File|Open.
          (You MUST select the file in the BIN)

       4) Select the directory 'DELPHI\HELP' to make Option|Search paths....

       5) Select HRPEng.KWF in the 'DELPHI\HELP' directory to make Keyword|Add
           Keyword file...

       6) Selecting File|Save adds a keyword of Hyper Report to Delphi.
          (it will take a few minutes to save)

       Again, restart Delphi.
       At this moment, you can not find HRport.HLP in HyperReport Component when you press [F1]
       The question 'Do you want to find the file by yourself?' may occur in the
       screen. Then, click [YES] and select HRPEng.HLP in the 'DELPHI\HELP'
       directory. Once selected, the question is not occurred any more from the moment.


2.3 Delphi 3

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [File|Open...] menu item

            Designate the directory LIB30 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Delphi package source(*.dpk)' in the file format combobox

            Select DCLHRP30.DPK file and click [Open].

            Click [Install] button in the 'Package' dialog window.
            (it will take a few minutes)

            Sometimes, 'Change dclhrp30.dpk' dialog box will be appear.
            In this case, select ok button.


       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLHTC30.DPK in order to use TeeChart.

       6)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLCUB30.DPK in order to use DecisionGraph.

       7) Copy BOM data to 'DELPHI\DEMOS\DATA'.

       8) Append LIB30 directory to Library Path as followings

          Select 'Tools|Environment Options' menu.

            Select Library item in the 'Environment Options' Doalog.

            Append LIB30 directory in the Library Path.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPEng.HLP, HRPEng.CNT and
          HRPEng.KWF to the 'Delphi\Help' directory.

       2) Add a Link statement to the DELPHI3.CFG file.
          :Link HRPENG.HLP

       3) Add an Include statement to DELPHI3.CNT file.
          :Include HRPENG.CNT

       Again, restart Delphi.


2.4 Delphi 4

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Component | Install Packages....]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Packages'.

            Designate the directory LIB40 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Package library(*.bpl)' type of the file type.

            Select DCLHRP40.BPL file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Packages' .


       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLHTC40.BPL in order to use TeeChart.

       6)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLCUB40.BPL in order to use DecisionGraph.

       7) Copy BOM data to 'Borland shared\DATA'.

       8) Append LIB40 directory to Library Path as followings

          Select 'Tools|Environment Options' menu.

            Select Library item in the 'Environment Options' Doalog.

            Append LIB40 directory in the Library Path.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPENG.* to the 'Delphi4\Help' directory.

       2) Select 'Help|Customize...' menu. 
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Contents' tab and add HRPENG.TOC.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Index' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Link' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          
       3) Click [Save Project] in the 'Open Help' window.

       4) Close the 'Open Help' window.


2.5 Delphi 5

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Component | Install Packages....]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Design packages'.

            Designate the directory LIB50 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Package library(*.bpl)' type of the file type.

            Select DCLHRP50.BPL file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Add Design Package' .


       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLHTC50.BPL in order to use TeeChart.

       6)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLCUB50.BPL in order to use DecisionGraph.

       7) Copy BOM data to 'Borland shared\DATA'.

       8) Append LIB50 directory to Library Path as followings

          Select 'Tools|Environment Options' menu.

            Select Library item in the 'Environment Options' Doalog.

            Append LIB50 directory in the Library Path.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPENG.* to the 'Delphi5\Help' directory.

       2) Select 'Help|Customize...' menu. 
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Contents' tab and add HRPENG.TOC.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Index' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Link' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          
       3) Click [Save Project] in the 'Open Help' window.

       4) Close the 'Open Help' window.

2.6 Delphi 6

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Component | Install Packages....]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Design packages'.

            Designate the directory LIB60 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Package library(*.bpl)' type of the file type.

            Select DCLHRP60.BPL file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Add Design Package' .


       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLHTC60.BPL in order to use TeeChart.

       6)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLCUB60.BPL in order to use DecisionGraph.

       7) Copy BOM data to 'Borland shared\DATA'.

       8) Append LIB60 directory to Library Path as followings

          Select 'Tools|Environment Options' menu.

            Select Library item in the 'Environment Options' Doalog.

            Append LIB60 directory in the Library Path.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPENG.* to the 'Delphi6\Help' directory.

       2) Select 'Help|Customize...' menu. 
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Contents' tab and add HRPENG.TOC.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Index' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Link' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          
       3) Click [Save Project] in the 'Open Help' window.

       4) Close the 'Open Help' window.


2.7 Delphi 7

    a. Install components

       1) Unzip the program at any directory you want.

       2) Start Delphi.

       3) Choice [Component | Install Packages....]

            Click [Add...] in the 'Design packages'.

            Designate the directory LIB70 in which program was unzipped.

            Select 'Package library(*.bpl)' type of the file type.

            Select DCLHRP70.BPL file and click [Open].

            Click [OK] in the 'Add Design Package' .


       4) When the installation is completed, 'HyperReport' Tab is shown in
           the end of the right side of Component Palette.

       5)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLHTC70.BPL in order to use TeeChart.

       6)  Repeat Step 3 for DCLCUB70.BPL in order to use DecisionGraph.

       7) Copy BOM data to 'Borland shared\DATA'.

       8) Append LIB70 directory to Library Path as followings

          Select 'Tools|Environment Options' menu.

            Select Library item in the 'Environment Options' Doalog.

            Append LIB70 directory in the Library Path.


    b. Install Help file

       If you install Help files, you can promftly see the help files in HyperReport Component whenever you press [F1].

       1) First of all, exit Delphi and copy HRPENG.* to the 'Delphi7\Help' directory.

       2) Select 'Help|Customize...' menu. 
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Contents' tab and add HRPENG.TOC.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Index' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          - Click [Add Files] in the 'Link' tab and add HRPENG.HLP.
          
       3) Click [Save Project] in the 'Open Help' window.

       4) Close the 'Open Help' window.


3. Demo version limitation

   1) Paper size is B5 only
   2) BarcodeStyle is UPC-A only
